Indian Coast Guard Navik Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

Candidates applying for the Navik (GD) post must be between 18 to 22 years old. Their date of birth should fall between 01 September 2003 and 31 August 2007 (both dates inclusive). Age relaxation will be applicable for reserved categories as upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy) candidates is applicable only if posts are reserved for them.

Educational Qualification

  • Navik (General Duty): Candidates must have Class 12th passed with Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
  • Navik (Domestic Branch): Candidates must have Class 10th passed by an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).

Application Date

The online application process will begin on 11th February 2025 and remain open until February 25th, 2025.

Application Fee

The candidates have to pay an application fee when they submit an online application for the Indian Coast Guard Navik Post and the payment should be made online through internet banking, debit/credit cards UPI, etc. Here are the application fee details for various candidates.

Selection Procedure

The selection of candidate is based on their performance in Stage-I, II, III & IV (explained in detail at para 6), meeting the laid down medical standards during medical examination and the number of vacancies available for the post. Clearing of Stage-I, II, III, IV is compulsory for recruitment in ICG. All candidates will be compulsorily subjected to identity check prior commencement of the examination of Stage- I, II, III of CGEPT. T.
